I stayed in the "motel" portion of the hotel for the first time and actually quite enjoyed it. It's the classic two story affair and is about 10 meters from the main building. It was very quiet and the amenities were the same as what you'd get in the hotel portion. There is a Sawmill restaurant on site for those who like their beef (there are other offering as well) plus an on-site liquor store and a games room with a fair number of VLTs (if you are into a little wagering). Handy location - right on the highway but it never seems too busy. You might also get to see or hear the odd F18 as the 4 Wing is stationed at Cold Lake.

I liked the location of the hotel. It's close to downtown but also near the entry into town (it's located in the old town of Grand Centre which was amalgamated into Cold Lake). Even though it's on the main road coming in, I did not hear any traffic noise. The other plus is the "all in one" services. Besides the nice room, there is a restaurant (a Sawmill but is being converted to a Smitty's), liquor store (prices seem reasonable too), and a licenced gaming room (VLTs) for those who like to "drop a twenty". All in all, the perfect oasis.

Location was fabulous aswell as having all your major amenities attached. Pool area was well kept and the staff was beyond personable and great presentation of themselves as professional and friendly. Will definitely be staying here for future visits!!!

The hotel is well located, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are warm and attentive. The air-conditioned room is warm. I live here every time I pass by.
